Halloween Nail Polish

Three polishes perfect for Halloween!
Two come from China Glaze, Haunting & It's Alive, whilst the third, Zombody to Love, is from OPI.

Haunting

I've been searching for a polish like this for some time now. Haunting is a black base packed with silver sparkle. Unlike a couple of other polishes I've tried that look similar in the bottle, Haunting's base isn't sheer black or a jelly finish, it's solid, deep black. This is basically MAC's Black Tied eyeshadow in nail polish form.
Two coats give perfect coverage, and although it doesn't dry to a matte finish, a glossy topcoat really brings it to life.

It's Alive

Absolutely stunning glitter-packed mossy green shade. It's Alive has great depth to it due to the slightly larger glitters mixed in with the smaller flecks. Two coats makes this absolutely perfect, add a glossy topcoat & you have a gorgeous shade that isn't only perfect for Halloween, it's great for any occasion.
I did initially think that it would be similar to a previous China Glaze Halloween polish, Zombie Zest. The two polishes, whilst both being in the green family, couldn't be more different. Zombie Zest is more of a jelly finish with a slight shimmer & leans to the yellow side far more than It's Alive.

Zombody to Love

No glitter or shimmer to Zombody to Love. In the bottle, it looks like a minty green. What makes it so great for Halloween, then? It glows in the dark & does it ever glow!
This particular polish is quite sheer, it took four coats to get it looking opaque. Without topcoat, it dries to quite a matte finish. Looks pretty alone but it looks great with a black crackle over the top both in daylight & when it's glowing. It did make me jump a little, I'd forgotten about it until I turned the lights out at bedtime & my fingers were glowing like crazy. :)
