INM Northern Lights Hologram Top Coat - Gold

I've already reviewed the silver version of the Northern Lights top coat, this time around I'm looking at the gold version.

As with the silver, Northern Lights gold is a clear base with holographic glitter suspended in it. In order to get the full effect, you need to give the bottle a vigorous shaking, as all of the glitter settles in the bottom.

Before shaking

The holographic effect is a sparkle, rather than a linear holo. The gold version is easily as holographic as the silver, but the actual glitter seems to be a little finer. Because of that, I found I needed an extra coat or two to get the same effect that two coats of silver gives.

Taken outside in direct sunlight

In direct light, you'll see a very vivid holo effect, the glitter flashes all of the colours of the rainbow. Without direct light, you'll get a subtle molten gold shimmer.
For these photos, I layered 3 coats of Northern Lights over China Glaze's Liquid Leather. No other top coat was used.

Even without an additional top coat, there's still a good glossy finish. Texture-wise, you can't feel the glitter at all, no rough or uneven finish here.

Application is so very easy, it glides on like a dream. The super fast drying time is the cherry on top of an already fabulous (holographic) cake, this literally dries in seconds!

Because of its smooth texture, I should imagine that this is incredibly easy to remove, the silver certainly is.

Both colours are worth getting because of their ability to turn any shade of polish into a glittery, holo beauty. There's enough difference between gold & silver to warrant owning both shades, should they both appeal to you.
