China Glaze - Beach Cruise-r

The last of my four recent purchases from the China Glaze Summer Neons collection comes in the form of Beach Cruise-r. This particular polish has driven me insane, it's been quite a challenge to take pictures. The ones that follow come from the 3rd batch I took & I'm still not happy with them; Beach Cruise-r is a difficult colour to get accurate photos of.

If you're familiar with Essie's Perky Purple or Zoya's Charisma, you'll have some idea of what Beach Cruise-r is all about; a neon purple with a lot of pink to it. Beach Cruise-r is slightly more purple than Charisma & Perky Purple, it also has a slight shimmer to it too.

With all of these pictures, they came out far too pink-toned or with more of a blue tinge than the polish actually has.

The shimmer in Beach Cruise-r isn't as noticeable in person as it is in the photos. Of the four shades I got from Summer Neons, this has the least shimmer.

For these swatches, I applied two coats. That's all you need to get good, opaque coverage & it matches the shade in the bottle. It's quite runny, so wipe off any excess on the lip of the bottle. As with most neons, the drying time is quite fast.
It applies smoothly, not overly streaky and no skipping or dragging.

The top coat brings out Beach Cruise-r's shimmer a little more, even so, it's still quite subtle.

It really is worth looking at this shade in person to get a better idea of just how gorgeous Beach Cruise-r is, my pictures don't do it justice at all. If you do already own the Zoya or Essie shades I mentioned above, you can probably skip it. If not, Beach Cruise-r is a great choice because of the slight shimmer.
